Coming Soon: WWACT Women’s Sports Month is Here!

We’re so excited to share that July is officially Sports Month at WWACT, and we can’t wait to move, laugh, and connect with you.

This July, we’re inviting wāhine from across the Waikato to step out, try something new, and reconnect with their bodies through movement and sport — in a way that’s supportive, inclusive, and full of fun. Whether you’ve never played a sport in your life or you’re just looking for a chance to move again, you’re welcome here.

Each week, we’ll introduce a new sport or activity for women to try — no pressure, no competition, just a safe space to show up and have a go. It’s all part of our kaupapa to support women's wellbeing, confidence, and connection through movement.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:

  • 🏐 Netball Skills & Mini-Games

  • 🏸 Badminton

  • 💃 Cultural Dance Fusion

  • 🏐 Social Volleyball

  • 🎉 And a relaxed, feel-good community celebration to finish the month

You’ll be able to sign up for one activity or try them all — whatever suits you best. All events are free, beginner-friendly, and designed to help you feel stronger, more connected, and proud of yourself for showing up.

And don’t worry — we’ll also be continuing our regular Pilates and Yoga classes throughout July. These gentle, grounding sessions will offer the perfect balance to the new activities and help you take care of both your body and your mind.
