Why Food Connects Us to Our Culture and Each Other

Food is more than what fills our plates. It holds our history, our identity, and the love passed down through generations. At WWACT, we believe that every dish tells a story – of where we come from, who we are, and what we carry with us.

This August, we're celebrating that connection. Through cooking, conversation, and shared meals, we’ll honour the cultural traditions that wāhine have kept alive across generations. Because when we share food, we share more than flavour – we share language, memory, and home.
